It made the class all the more meaningful to me to have an hour exploring class concepts with Zora and my peers in a supportive space, where we applied sociology to our lives through fun, engaging activities. I really want to shout out Zora because her knowledge and passion for sociology are palpable, and I greatly appreciate her focus on her students’ growth and success throughout the semester. I always felt like I could approach Zora if I had a question or needed support regarding the class.”
“I literally have never been to a better recitation than this one. I think talking collectively as a class made a lot of people really look forward to recitation. Zora was amazing at teaching in a very condensed manner and was also good at answering questions. She was extremely kind and very enthusiastic about the subjects which made the recitations so much more fun. I really loved how Zora brought in pieces of her own life, research, or even other collective examples that really helped in understanding and application of the topics.
